My previous trip to Berlengas consisted solely of a 4 day Cory’s Shearwater census. This is a survey which is undertaken by SPEA every 5 years across the entirety of the Berlengas Archipelago. The aim is to give an estimation of the breeding population on the islands. It was a great experience to work with this fascinating seabird.
